Launching of web portal for Higher Education Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is an important step towards merit and transparency. The wave of adoption of e-government technology is increasingly gaining momentum in the developing countries for enhancing good governance capabilities of public organizations. The priority of our government is to bring change through education. It is in the manifesto of our party and we are bound to achieve the goals set by our leadership.

The Provincial Government had allocated Rs. 500 million as Chief Minister Endowment fund for those brilliant students, who because of poverty could not afford higher studies in the educational institutions. In order to uplift the standards of Higher Education, the Department has also started imparting 4 Year BS degree program in the public colleges. Government is also aware of the financial constraints faced by the children of our province seeking Higher Education and that is the reason that a Higher Education endowment Fund worth Rs. 300 million is also established for award of scholarships to students of BS- 4 Year Program in the Government Colleges. In order to bring department at par with the standards of modern world, the process of reforms has also been initiated within the department. The purpose is to restructure the Department to cope with the challenges of tomorrows.
